CABDA EAST

Despite our very best efforts, we have made the difficult decision to postpone CABDA East once again.

We know this is disappointing. It is disappointing for us, too.

When we announced our hiatus from the East Coast, we did so because we believed CABDA East deserved a better home and a better format. We wanted a venue that could accommodate not only the trade show, but also the expanded pre-show conference we have been working to bring to our East Coast retailers.

We found it.

After an extensive search, we identified a new venue that checked the boxes we had been looking for and began working through the considerable process of bringing CABDA East back.

Unfortunately, while we were solving the venue problem, another obstacle emerged.

New e-bike legislation that went into effect in 2026 has created significant regulatory challenges for an event like ours. Over the past several months, we have spent a great deal of time exploring possible solutions, speaking with stakeholders, and looking for a responsible path forward.

We tried. We really tried.

But ultimately, we could not find a way to produce the CABDA East our retailers and exhibitors deserve without asking everyone involved to navigate a level of uncertainty and complication that we simply aren't comfortable with.

So, despite a new venue and despite our genuine excitement about returning, CABDA East will not take place this show cycle.

This isn't the announcement we wanted to make. Our East Coast events have always meant a great deal to us.

Since our first CABDA East in March 2020, we've had the privilege of meeting thousands of retailers, suppliers, sales representatives, mechanics, advocates, and industry friends from across the region. We remain absolutely committed to bringing CABDA back to the East Coast when we can do it properly.

This is a postponement, not a goodbye.

We are still excited about the event we've been building. We still believe East Coast dealers deserve a CABDA event of their own. And when the circumstances allow us to deliver the kind of show we expect of ourselves—and that you expect from us—we intend to be there.

Unfortunately, it simply isn't in the cards this time around.

To our East Coast retailers and exhibitors who have been patiently waiting for our return: thank you. We know you've heard "next year" from us before, which is exactly why we're not going to give you another date until we know we can keep it.

In the meantime, we hope you'll join us at CABDA Midwest in Chicago or CABDA West in Las Vegas. We'd love to see you there.

And we look forward to the day when we can finally say: CABDA East is back.
